Meet the Team
Sofia Lyons
Sofia Lyons is an internationally experienced educator and administrator with over twenty years of experience across four continents. She is a recognized IB Workshop Leader, IB school visiting team member, and an expert in curriculum design and teacher development. Sofia has led and taught at all levels in the early years, primary school, and elementary school setting.
Before relocating to Chile, Sofia’s career spanned multiple countries, including Ghana, Thailand, Bali, and Abu Dhabi. She held various leadership roles such as PYP Coordinator, Elementary Vice-Principal, and Primary Principal. Most recently, she served as Director of Teaching and Learning, where she collaborated with teachers to support their professional growth through trust-based lesson observations and timely, actionable feedback.
Sofia holds an MBA in International Educational Management from Keele University, UK, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education from Durham University, UK.
Andrea Kattan
Andrea Kattan is an experienced preschool educator with 23 years of experience working in early childhood education. She holds a postgraduate degree in Psychopedagogy, with a strong background in supporting students of various ages facing learning difficulties. Additionally, Andrea has completed a Master’s in Family Counseling, which has enriched her approach to working with both children and families. Throughout her career, she has led various language workshops, providing support to fellow teachers in enhancing their classroom practices. Andrea is passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the development of every child she works with.
Cecilia Nestler
Cecilia is an experienced English and Primary teacher with over 14 years of classroom experience and more than 12 years of leadership. She excels in structuring, guiding, and facilitating inquiry-based and concept-based learning in student-centered lessons. Cecilia has spent nearly 20 years as an academic coordinator at Craighouse School and has six years of experience advising and consulting for various Chilean schools. A specialist in assessment and curriculum articulation, she has also served as a member of the IB, Penta, and LAHC visit teams across Latin America.
